Don Reno and Red Smiley are among the top four Bluegrass teams of all time. Red Smileys rhythm guitar playing and rich, baritone lead vocals are as good as it gets. Don Renos high tenor and amazing, lightning-fast banjo pickin are legendary. Don Reno developed several styles of banjo picking, and is a prolific song writer who wrote 59 of the first 60 songs that Reno & Smiley recorded. From 1951 to 1964, Reno and Smiley recorded the bulk of their landmark Bluegrass Music with King Records. Among Reno and Smileys many recordings youll find great Bluegrass and Gospel songs that really stir your emotions.
