Look up - Be watchful - Your redemption draweth near! After all these years, the soul-stirring gospel music of the Stanley Brothers is still shedding the bright light of salvation. Ralph and Carter Stanley first formed a bluegrass band when there were discharged from the Army in 1946. These boys from the Clinch Mountain area of Virginia would be among the first selected to enter the highly coveted Bluegrass Hall Of Honor. The Stanley Brothers affiliation with Starday/King records that began in 1956 resulted in 15 quality blue grass albums recorded over seven year period. At that time, the Stanleys released a number of recordings that set the standard for bluegrass gospel music. The Best Of The Best collection of All Bluegrass, All Gospel includes the very finest of Ralph and Carters trend-setting gospel bluegrass songs. Ralphs soulful harmony vocals and banjo pickin blend with Carters distinct lead vocals to provide a double-edged sword of legendary bluegrass gospel music. As always, the Stanleys play it to a hilt.
